Risk management
I have a documentary about medical studies from New Orleans and was struck by one thing.
That is how quickly the company has measures of people who are unlikely to survive the impossible and insurmountable, then complain about the lack of compassion available when they themselves have the same face judges amazing.
This is not a reason for the horrors faced by the survivors of Katrina, without thinking for a while. Can you predict your honest reaction to a life-changing tragedy?
In today's society, where the buzzword is "Think Secret" People seem to forget that even if you have to dream and hope for the best, you still prepare for the worst. After learning self-defense moves you mentally and physically practice only in the event that you are always attacked. This does not mean you can focus on the negative, but your body and soul, as they act in an instinctive way, if you're not an occasion for thinking process is the training. In choir practice, you stand and sing like you are actually exported. What you do is going to respond when it's crunch time.
The same thing is happening with the economy. Most people do not want to take action for a crisis. What do you do if, God forbid, ask to change your company an important issue. They come in all shapes, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, technical failures, or your most important customer no longer needs your service. What is your contingency plan? What have you done to be prepared for the worst? Do you have your processes in place?
The simplest (and most) of these to avoid is the next client / customer. When is enough enough business? Even if your company's plate is full, it is important to continue to market, so you always know where your next customer will. Always network, part of the day set aside each week to promote your business, so you always know where your next customer will. Depending on your business, in some cases, the client will issue a warning that they are guilty, but sometimes they just do not come for no apparent reason. What about something unexpected?
This week I was experiencing one of the few selected to a computer crash. The computer sends a while now signs that it was ready to give up the ghost, but the technology is never easy to predict what is only a worm, spyware, adware, or bring to the crash. I need not say that someone is in their business completely from your computer and your office, with major computer crash is not good. Fortunately for me, I had a plan in place.
When I work with clients to develop business plans, I've almost always the same reply when I reach the exit plan or contingency plan. "I do not need to" Some people are impatient, some flat out insulted when it is time to discuss what to do if something goes wrong. But prepare for one of the main tricks are always succeed, because if something goes wrong. Every crisis is always started small, it is only by ignoring warning signals that there will be a big problem. Do you have a disaster plan in place? Has your company's potential crises, risks? You know what to do if your shipping address on strike system? What are the immediate crisis now? Are you in the "fire" mode? To extinguish the fire after fire, as they appear, or a plan to keep the fires did not happen.
In my case I pay just a little each month for an online backup. Then again, I have everything, every day. So after I corrected the cause of the accident, it was a simple matter to restore my backups. I hope that the plan for the worst and the best, for the most part, it turns out that I worried for nothing. But on the occasions when something goes wrong, and believe me, almost nothing will ever go according to plan "A" is always good to have a contingency plan in place.
Identify your potential fires, and figure out how to keep them from blazing out of control. Remember, it's easier to blow light a candle than to remove a kitchen file.
